SEVERAL THINGS…MY LIFE, THE HURRICANE

Back from tour. loved it. had the time of my life, actually. I already want to go back out, but that won’t happen for a while.

The Madman Chronicles reunite! Now, under the new name TMMC and the High Dynamic, the band will be reuniting this summer for what will hopefully be a long time, though is still dependent on a number of things. Assuming that The Dragon Dagger isn’t once again called away from his homeland to live in China, we’ll be adding a new member, recording a new album, and hitting the road, all by the time the leaves turn. Crossing my stubby fingers.

xok will suffer. J Money moves this Friday to Mississippi. I don’t know what will happen.

Starry Night is in some trouble. The venue is and has been great, and doing the same, but the building owners have butt their heads, and it looks like this will be the last summer that Starry Night is in operation, at least at it’s current location. More on that as it unfolds.

I’m happy, tired, and in love with life. But it doesn’t mean things aren’t crazy as hell.

HITTING THE ROAD!

June 2nd, I–not as TMMC, though as one part of–hit the road to play 7 or 8 shows out of state, with the incredible SLC band, I Hear Sirens. This mini-tour will be great, and hopefully we will have the success we are looking for at each show.

Also, I’m pretty sure you, reading this, are a spammer. Which means you’re not reading, simply posting about cialis.

A LANDMARK DAY

the juggling act

Sanity.

Insanity.

Calamity.

God of War II.

I’d tired of finding the hiding objects in the all too cluttered picture. Can’t I just see what I want to see and not have ten million reasons for it? Perhaps I just want to be happy, and would rather not have to force my way through.

Did I wake up on the wrong side of the world today? Or am I just that hungry.

ABSTRACT

At times when I can’t see straight, and the hair in my eyes isn’t my own, I wonder what life would have been like at another time, in another place, with other people and other things to motivate and move and control and aggitate me.

At times when I can’t see at all, and the words in my head aren’t my own, I wonder what life would be like if I were simple minded, not burdened by the stress of knowledge and of possibility and of talent. Would I use my hands, or use nothing instead?

At times when I can’t hear the waterfalls, when surrounding me are the lives of others and not myself, I sit and think about what it must feel like to be known–truly known–by another person, I cry, because I know this will never happen.

At times when all I can feel are burning scars, I remember that in the future there will be more scars, and the ones that burn now will probably leave me alone in favor of new pain, new burn, and new hope.

At times like these, I wonder if I am really sane at all.

So…

I was approached by someone–we’ll call her Genie–who told me about her friend that is suicidal. Naturally I was interested and asked questions to dig deeper. After Genie told me some things, I figured it was my time to step in and see what I could do to help.

I recieved the email info from this person, emailed them, told them who I was–in relation to Genie–and how I would like them to know my thoughts on life, suicide, and that I’m always available to listen should this person need to talk. They were grateful, and I felt as if I was once again able to make a dent in the hell that is the suicidal mindframe.

HOWEVER…

Seems that this person pretty much says everyday that they are suicidal, and that they really aren’t in anyway, just that they sometimes feel sad, and that they’ve learned that the word “suicide” brings attention, so they use it.

Is this how kids are now? When I was in jr. high and high school, “suicide” was a taboo word, used only in the most serious of circumstances. I know that the last few years of some music culture and style has brought about a “cool factor” to the subject that is taking one’s own life, and I understand that kids will adapt to their culture and surroundings, and will reflect what they are exposed to, but is it such a blind youth culture we have that the idea of killing yourself is not only a light subject matter, but romanticized into being popular and deep and thought provoking?

I need your thoughts here people…
